Qualifications & Experience
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Education commensurate with the nature of the role (e.g. Early Childhood Education) from an accredited university
UAE Professional Teaching License
IELTS Score of 7.5 (Academic)/ English Speaker
Experience:
Experience of no less than 3 years in teaching, preferably in American schools
Job summary:
The Kindergarten Homeroom Teacher (HT) is responsible for the provision of high quality early childhood education in line with the DMES vision, mission, and core values. The KG HT is accountable for raising the levels of progress and attainment of students through the effective implementation of the California Common Core Standards and the Next Generation Science Standards. The KG HT fosters a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment that promotes inquiry, creativity, innovation, and enterprise. The KG HT provides age-appropriate and differentiated learning opportunities to cater for the individual needs and abilities of students, including students of determination, English Language Learners, and gifted and talented students. The KG HT designs authentic and standards-based assessments that enable students to actively demonstrate their competencies and skills against curriculum standards and international benchmarks. The KG HT facilitates 21st-century learning to lay the foundations for the holistic development, academic excellence, and lifelong learning in each and every individual student.
