Minimum Qualifications:
Master’s/ Doctorate Degree in Education, commensurate with the nature of the role (e.g. Educational Leadership Degree)# English speaker / IELTS Score of 8 (Academic) / TOEFL
Experience:
Experience of no less than three cumulative years in educational leadership, preferably in American curriculum schools
Job Summary:
The Head of US School is responsible for providing professional, highly effective leadership and management that will achieve outstanding results in all aspects of the US School. As part of the Senior Leadership Team, the Head of US School supports the SEP in promoting DMES vision, mission, and core values and in ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements. The HOS is responsible for ensuring that the curriculum, teaching, and assessment practices inspire high levels of engagement, achievement, and progress for students of all abilities.The HOS demonstrates knowledge of the implementation and development of the American Curriculum (California Common Core Standards), the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC) standards, and the Dubai Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) standards for school inspection and accreditation.
