Dubai Modern Education School promotes students by providing them a stat-of-the art facilities and encourages and promotes art culture in a vibrant and inclusive manner. Our students are creative and talented in creativity, STEAM projects and visual arts .
The campus of DMES sprawls around a large piece of land area. Since 1996, DMES has upgraded its facilities and learning spaces to support the curriculum, health, safety and wellbeing needs of all students. All classrooms in school are fully equipped with sufficient technology resources which include Smart Boards, projectors, and video conferencing technology to deliver its tri-learning model – onsite, hybrid, and distance learning.
DMES has separate gym halls and wide outdoor spaces for PE and sports activities. There is a multi-purpose hall with accommodation for over 1000 people where assemblies and other extra-curricular activities are performed. Additional learning and resource facilities are allocated such as maker spaces, Junior Libraries for Kindergarten and Elementary Sections, Junior Science Laboratory, Study Rooms, Lego Room, Innovation Labs, Robotics Labs, Gardening Area, and Rooms for Students of Determination in all school buildings.
Classrooms
Our school boasts of age-appropriate and learner-friendly classrooms equipped with the latest technology, multimedia, audio-visual facilities, and safe & inclusive classroom equipment. All classrooms have specially designed layout that promote innovation, exploration, and self-directed learning in accordance with the school curriculum. We have invested in new and up-to-ate resources, technology, and materials to facilitate the delivery of 3 learning models – onsite, hybrid, and distance learning.
Art Rooms
Designated art rooms are used by our secondary students to hone their creative and artistic skills in various art forms and medium. A collection of outstanding artwork and displays are showcased in prominent areas of the school to recognize budding art enthusiasts among students.
Library & Media Centers
The school has allocated library & media centers for each phase enabling student access to a vast collection of print and non-print resources such as fiction/non-fiction books, dictionaries, encyclopedia, picture books, story books, periodicals, journals, magazines, newspapers and digital resources.
The libraries are managed by highly qualified personnel and host various literacy and literary events which include Drop Everything and Read/Write, book fairs, Mystery Readers, story-telling, and other literacy contests.
Science Laboratories
To ensure high-quality hands-on practical experience for our students in General Science, Chemistry, Physics, Biology and AP Science courses, the school has allocated separate Science Laboratories for middle & high school boys and girls. All Science labs contain a range of specialist equipment and materials and managed by well-experienced lab technicians.
Maker Spaces
Students are provided with educational materials, equipment, learning resources and audio-visual technology to help them develop their STEAM and innovative skills using the maker spaces. Maker spaces allow students to freely build, design, make, and explore as early as Kindergarten.
Robotics Laboratory
Robotics laboratories provides venues for technological innovation and hands-on learning experiences for middle and high school students in designing, building, and programming robots using the latest software and equipment. Robotics subjects are offered in order to further promote career in robotics education for aspiring young engineers and builders among students.
LEGO Lab
The LEGO Lab is designated for students, particularly in Kindergarten and Elementary, to hone their skills in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics through hands on learning. Students showcase their critical thinking & creative skills through engineering and design activities, and at the same time, learn the values of cooperation, and teamwork.
ICT Laboratories
The school has dedicated ICT labs for all phases, equipped with the advanced network and ICT software to facilitate the curriculum. The latest technology and multimedia tools such as interactive SMART Boards are installed in various rooms to facilitate interactive learning supported by technology.
Students of Determination (SOD) Rooms
As a school that envisions quality inclusive education for all students of diverse backgrounds and abilities, we have designated rooms for students of determination (SODs) in accordance with the KHDA Inclusive Education requirements. Each room is equipped with a wide range of age-appropriate tools, resources, assistive technology & equipment to support the special needs of learners according to their Individual Education Plans, helping them thrive along with their mainstream peers.
Playgrounds
The school has large shaded playgrounds with interesting and safe play equipment to support the development of students’ motor skills such as running, climbing, sliding, and cycling. Indoor soft play areas are also available for KG students which provide a variety of safe and fun-filled activities for exploration and recreation.
Canteens
The school canteen provides a comprehensive food services program to meet the dining and nutritional needs of students at affordable prices. Healthy canteen menu options and meals for students with special dietary requirements are available. The spacious and well-ventilated environment of our cafeteria creates a calm and relaxed space for students to interact while ensuring that highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene are maintained.
Sports Facilities
Our sports facilities are specially designed to facilitate the Health and Physical Education curriculum through our indoor multi-purpose gym equipped with variety of games and sporting equipment. It is our aim to promote students physical health and wellbeing while developing lifelong habits of fitness through exercise and athletics.
School Clinic
Our school clinic is staffed by a well-qualified doctor and registered nurses providing health care services for students. The school clinic The School Clinic implements annual health education programs and activities which include routine medical examinations for students and staff as well as health education lectures on healthy diet, proper hygiene and sanitation, and disease and infection control.
Guidance & Career Counseling Rooms
The school has designated rooms for student counselors of Kindergarten to High School students responsible for implementing a comprehensive counseling program that addresses academic, career, and personal/social development needs of students. The school also provides academic and career counseling for high school students based on student interests, skills, abilities, and aptitudes and help them find out what education and training are required for their interest-based selections.
School Gardens
The school provides numerous opportunities for hands-on learning, inquiry, observation and quality outdoor experiences for students through the garden areas. Learners are inspired to further develop their skills to use their imagination, explore, think critically, solve problems, and enhance their STEM and gardening skills while learning the curriculum
Swimming Pool
The school has a large swimming pool area equipped with boys and girls changing rooms, showers, toilets, and swimming equipment for all students. The swimming pool is managed by a trained lifeguard and swimming coaches to ensure the utmost safety and comfort of students during swimming lessons and competitions.
